The M/N 10999, 300 watt ku-band travelling wave tube amplifier is a single drawer, rack mountable high power amplifier intended to use in fixed or transportable applications.

All control and monitoring functions are located on the front panel. RF forward/reflected power, helix current and cathode voltage are monitored on the LCD digital display. The M/N 10999 TWTA provides complete TWT protection. All protective circuits are monitored by Panel LED displays. Fault setpoint check push buttons are provide for cathode over/under voltage, RF high/low, RF reflected power, and helix overload. Setpoint values are displayed on the LCD display. An audible fault alarm maybe enabled/disabled at the front panel.

The TWTA uses a high efficiency, modular switch mode power supply. Domestic and international primary power sources can be accommodated. Both the power supply and the TWT are located in the forced air cooling path. Air intake, reusable filter included, and exhaust are located in the rear panel. Remote connectors are provided to interface all panel control and monitoring functions to the optional remote panel (M/N 15313) or RS422/485 computer interface (M/N 20087).
