If a piece of equipment fails, for example the PSU and if you want it repaired and you want to start back earning your money as soon as possible. But sometimes the location of the unit can make this difficult and expensive to ship the unit back to manufacturer, distributor or a service center. Thus, ideally you want to be able to repair units in the field. For this purpose the AVP (1RU) uses hot-swappable option cards, to enables some in field repairs. To further enhance the ability to carry out in field repairs MediaKind has introduced spares kits for AVP (1RU) units and RX8200 Advanced Modular Receivers.
